Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Answering phone calls from customers.
- Transferring calls as appropriate and taking messages with accuracy
- Unpack samples received by our clients while operating within the laboratory’s health and safety and personal protective equipment policies
- Numbering and processing samples received by our clients, sorting samples for different departments within the laboratory
- Data inputting samples onto our computer system
- Liaise with clients when there are queries
- Sorting submission forms for different departments within the laboratory
- Scanning submission forms and external results
- Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the laboratory.
- Checking new stock deliveries
- Preparing samples to send to third party laboratories
- Other tasks as defined by senior members of staff.
- Be able to lift approximately 35 LB
- Valid driver license
The ideal candidate will possess and demonstrate the following:
- Professional phone etiquette
- Ability to multitask and display strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Bilingual: Able to fluently read, write, and speak both Spanish and English at a collegiate level
- High school diploma
- At least 1 year of experience are required (customer care/logistics)
Laboratory Technician

Job Duties:
- Understand internal SOPs for the preparation and extraction of food samples.
- Daily workload organization through LIMS
- Record keeping of laboratory equipment’s temperature, solution preparation and daily quality controls.
- Sample preparation using different types of extractions such as QuEChERS, FDA and EPA methods.
- Calibration and verification of laboratory equipment such as analytical balance, micropipettes, volumetric glassware, etc.
- Preparation of reagents, stock solutions, calibration curves, etc.
- Replenish the necessary consumables in the extracting area such as pipette tips, gloves, etc.
- Keep laboratory equipment in clean conditions and ensure the safe removal of waste from the preparation area.
- Communicate with supervisor of any malfunctioning equipment.Follow 5 “S” protocol to keep working area organized and cleaned.
Experience:
- 1+ years with routine laboratory equipment looked upon favorably.

Education (Minimum Requirement):
- BS or similar in a scientific field of study (including core scientific curricula)

- Perform extractions of pesticide residues and other contaminants following AGQ USA procedures.
- Preparations of solutions, calibration curves, mobile phases, dilutions etc.
- Verification and calibration of basic laboratory equipment such as analytical balances and micropipettes.

- Keeping sample storage area organized and cleaned.

- Perform routine GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS analyses for Pesticide Residues, antibiotics, and other contaminants on food
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting as needed on GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS equipment
- Complete R+D or Method Development Projects as assigned
Experience:
- 3+ years with analytical instrumentation looked upon favorably
- (GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, or similar)
- Preferred SCIEX and/or AGILENT instrumentation
- 3+ years with routine laboratory equipment looked upon favorably
- (Pipettes, glassware, balances, etc.)
- Familiarity with accreditation standards for ISO 17025 & ELAP is a plus.
